Early to Rise

I got an early start this morning and witnessed a beautiful sunrise.  Picture taken in Barstow, CA. After driving until day light, I was so glad to see Arizona. I felt like I was in heaven to be able to drive 75 legally. Driving 55 mph was torture.  Twin Arrows Casino is where we decided to stop. We had dinner since most casinos have buffets that are out of this world. Of course, we played the slot machines. But retired back to the truck after losing thirty dollars.  We enjoyed an awesome breakfast buffet this morning. I couldn’t resist trying my luck on the slot machine. So glad I did. I put in a twenty and cashed out $194.00.

We hit the road as soon as they were opened up again.  The crazy thing is the news showed where highways were closed in California because of the storm. Highways I literally just came off of the day before. People were stranded for eight hours in the snow. Some were in flash floods. A truck driver found dead in his truck.  We barely missed it. Prayers for the family who lost a loved one. The day after Christmas, according to the news, is the busiest day of the year for travelers.  The day of the storm. Thankful we are safe.  We have plenty of food in our truck and plenty of fuel to idle and keep warm. Our three babies, Hazard, Stewie and Toby also have all they need.  I’m a little upset with the three because when we returned to our truck last night they had took a Wendy’s cup, half full of coke, out of the cup holder and emptied it in the driver’s seat.  I’ll never be able to figure that one out lol. We’re going to set up our camera and record them when we are not in the truck. That should make for a funniest pet video.  Safe travels.
